I bought a mr cool DIY mini split ac system from home depot. I called many ac company's to get it installed. None would install it apparently it was not a reliable brand. I guess I was just looking to save money. Then later that day the owner of Stable air called me back. We talked for a while then I had him come to my house and give me an estimate. I bought a Fujitsu system from him. He installed it within 2 weeks. It was more money but worth every penny. Needless to say I returned the mr cool unit to home depot for a full refund. I guess you get what you pay for. My wife an I love it. The owner of Stable air is very professional and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Sable air.

Stable Air installed a new Heating and Cooling system for our home last fall . After getting a few estimates we decided on Stable Air ! The presentation , products service and warranties were clearly explained and all questions were answered . He even made recommendations to improve efficiency. Very reliable and excellent service and follow up to see how we were satisfied! Will definitely do business with Stable Air installed the future!

I recently used Stable Air Heating & Cooling to replace an underperforming AC unit. I now have 2 mini slat units that are so quiet and effective I only wish I had them installed sooner. I felt the service was great and everything was explained so I could understand it. I would highly recommend this company.

Highly recommend this company for mini split installation. The owner was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, answering all my questions and taking the time to make sure I understood my options. They installed three units in my home, met every deadline, and followed through with clear communication about the install from start to finish. The three mini splits have been amazing. They kept my home cool and comfortable even during the hottest days of the year. Great product, great service. Couldn’t be happier with the experience!

Anthony is the BEST to work with. He replaced my 1950 furnace which included having to custom make some of the vent work. I really appreciated that when he came to do the estimate he actually sat down with me and gave me the time I needed to discuss my options and answer my questions! Even better he does the actual work. Other companies I contacted sent a person to do the estimate but not the work! Even though the job is done Anthony readily gets back to me if I have a question. If you want an excellent and thorough job then contact Anthony at Stable Air!!!

Stable Air did an exceptional job installing and making my split unit operational. It has given me plenty of cooling air during those hot summer days and warmth on the coldest days. They were very professional throughout the installation. The owner talked me through every aspect of the operation of the unit in great detail. I felt very comfortable knowing what to expect from and to care for the unit once they completed the install. I've had worry free operation from day one. They will be back soon for periodic maintenance and to check on the well being of the unit. I would highly recommend Stable Air Heating and Cooling to anyone who is looking to have a split unit installed.

We worked with the owner of Stable Air Heating and Cooling last October to upgrade our entire home to mini splits for efficient heating and cooling. What a difference! The units are nearly silent, and manage not only the temperature perfectly but we notice how comfortable the humidity level stays as well. We also love that the filters are able to be cleaned and reused rather than having to replace an hvac filter 3-4 times per year. As far as choosing this company to work with, the owner took his time measuring, explaining pros and cons of different placements throughout for the units throughout our home and developed an easy to understand plan that would be the best value but also the best efficiency. We also appreciated how knowledgeable he was regarding he most recent tax and utility credits that might be available for us to maximize the value and save a little money on this upgrade. We had such a great experience that we even invited him back to service our boiler going into the fall when it was time! We would definitely recommend Stable Air and would use them again ourselves.

Stable Air did an excellent job installing a mini split for me. The mini split heats and cools my entire condo. My electric bill has been significantly reduced. I’m on the budget plan and National Grid just notified me they are reducing my monthly bill by $40. The mini split is much more quiet than my heat pump was and provides more even heating/cooling in my view. The cost was fair and reasonable. I highly recommend Stable Air

It is very important to me being comfortable in my home. Stable Air Heating and cooling has been helping me with this for years. The owner is knowledgeable and fair. He went out of his way many times to diagnose problems and get my furnace up and running so i wouldn't be without heat. One time he lent me a couple space heaters since the part had to be ordered. I've never had anyone do that! He couldn't repair my 20 year old ac but came in with a great price. He always takes the time to answer my numerous questions and he cleans up really good, like he was never there. I would highly recommend this business.

We can't recommend Stable Air Heating & Cooling enough! As first-time homebuyers, we unfortunately learned the hard way that we had been taken advantage of when purchasing our home. The house had vents throughout for central AC, and there was clear evidence that a unit had previously been installed, but it was missing when we bought the house. What we didn't realize was that, upon further inspection, the existing vent system had been poorly designed and installed. Stable Air Heating & Cooling went above and beyond to help us navigate the situation. Our technician was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He worked with us to find the best solution for our home and was able to get us a brand-new heat pump split system for less than other companies were quoting us for a standard AC system! He also replaced our 19-year-old water heater with a high-efficiency heat pump water heater, giving us a much more energy-efficient upgrade. Then, on a day when he wasn't even working at our house, we had an unexpected emergency when our baseboard heating pipes started leaking as they thawed after they had unknowingly frozen. He came out same day to help us get the issue repaired. From helping us correct problems we inherited with our home to finding us affordable, energy-efficient solutions and coming to our rescue when an unexpected emergency happened, Stable Air Heating & Cooling truly went above and beyond. We are incredibly grateful for their professionalism, expertise, and willingness to help. We highly recommend Stable Air Heating & Cooling to anyone looking for an HVAC company you can trust!

I was having problems with my furnace and had read some reviews on Nextdoor about Stable Air. I decided to give them a call and make an appointment. The owner of the company came over and examined the furnace. He told me he could clean it and presented an alternate idea…a new system. He gave me a good price on the furnace so I asked him to give me an estimate on a new water heater and air conditioning unit as well. The price was reasonable so I had him install them. There was no pressure selling. He explained the benefits of a new system. I have had the system for over six months and am very satisfied with it. The owner was very knowledgeable about the system and answered all the questions I had. I would highly recommend Stable Air for any heating or cooling issues.

Stable Air exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. The owner was extremely well communicative not only while price shopping, but once we had confirmed and begun the work. The work itself was professional and top of the line in quality and performance. They gave us an upgraded unit for the same price others were offering a standard AC system. Truly one of the best values and investments we're put into our house. We received repairs for a frozen pipe, new circular pumps for our boiler, new heat pump water heater and heat pump AC/Heating system with ductwork. It was apparent how well trained the owner was when installing, often catching things other companies missed or didn't mention to us. He has an eye for detailed work and ensures we are satisfied with it every step of the way. There's no sense of uncertainty. I highly recommend Stable Air for any of your projects and will continue to recommend them via word of mouth. I'm the kind of person who really does his research before big projects, and I can say with confidence, they're the best we could find after many many quotes.

In 2023, after installing solar panels, we decided to ditch our gas furnace and transition to heat pumps for heating and cooling to finish our home’s transition to all-electric. Tony was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job, including making sure we had heat pumps that could handle the winter temperatures in Albany and custom fabricated ductwork that was needed to integrate the system into our existing ductwork and accommodate multiple zones. Over the past three years he has been readily available to troubleshoot anything that’s come up. When we recently had an issue with one of the blower motors, Tony promptly ordered the replacement parts that were needed and readily worked around our schedule to make the repair. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family that are looking to transition to heat pumps.

We had Stable Air come and assess our central air conditioning system that was no longer functioning. We needed to understand what was happening, whether or not it was worth fixing given the age of the unit and what the associated costs would be for fixing versus replacing. We got all that and more - we received a clear answer as to why our unit wasn’t working (turns out 2 parts of the unit were broken), why it didn’t make sense to fix and what alternatives we had for replacement. We learned so much during our appointment, gained an education on mini splits vs what we had and had pricing in hand before he left. I pushed him off a week or so in doing the assessment because it was 90 plus degree days and i knew our attic (where 1/2 the work would need to be done) was intolerable at those temperatures. The owner came over and loaned us a room air conditioner for the week or so until we could get him here on a more humane temperature day. Who does that in today’s world??? His follow up, professional demeanor and excellence in representing his business have been second to none. I can’t recommend this small business owner highly enough.

We picked Stable Air to install a minisplit system in our 1950's cape-style kit house home because when we met with him it was clear he cared deeply about the quality of his work and understands the importance of doing a job right the first time. Stable Air's quote was competitive and included better quality systems than the other quotes we got from different local companies, and they were willing to explain everything - including the state/National Grid rebate process - in a way that made sense. Stable Air's worker showed up on time, cleaned up everything every day before he went home, and even tolerated our extremely loud and anxious 60lb dog who barked every time he walked inside the house over the course of two days. Before Stable Air installed these units, we used two window units in our upstairs bedroom and would run them from about 4pm when we got home from work, with the room not reaching an acceptable temperature until about 12 hours later. We had two more window units downstairs and they were so loud it just made it impossible to have a normal conversation during the summer - plus we never really got comfortable. We were just constantly sticky from being just a little sweaty all the time. Not to mention when we had nice days, we couldn't even enjoy a fresh breeze because most of our windows were occupied with huge AC units - which sucked. The 2 biggest concerns we had when getting these units was whether they would actually reduce our energy bills and if they could keep up with how immediately hot and humid our second floor gets in the summers. After completing an in-home evaluation and providing recommendations, Stable Air installed one unit in our bedroom upstairs and one unit in our living room downstairs over the course of about three days. Since install was completed, including that diabolical 4th of July heat wave we had, our house has been a refrigerated oasis. We have never felt humid, hot, or otherwise uncomfortable - we even needed to put a heavy comforter back on our bed! Now, we don't even need to think about it. We can look in the app and see how the outside temperature is 93* and our bedroom is sitting at a cool 68*. Which is also great because now we don't need to worry about any of our animals overheating in the summer. But the most miraculous part about what Stable Air did for us are the lower energy bills. From mid-June to mid-July last year (2025) we used about 2375kWh of energy with a bill of $538 for the month. For the same period this year, we used just 1034kWh of electricity with a bill of $291. Our bill was *literally* cut in half when we were using the units every single day, 24 hours per day, during an immense heatwave, and we reduced our electricity use by more than half! The units Stable Air installed come with an expansive 12-year warranty, and Stable Air provides a labor warranty of their own, so we have a lot of peace of mind should there be any issues that pop up down the road. I've recommended Stable Air to everyone I've talked to who is looking into installing minisplits in their homes or businesses because the professionalism, humanity, and quality of the work is truly one of the best experiences we've ever had having work done on our home. I'd give this company a million stars if I could.
